Come on in, we’re building a new genre: it’s called “garage folk.” Fred Claridge spent his twenties working with the likes of Billy Bragg, Blair Dunlop, Blanco White & Mick Jones (The Clash) but during lockdown, when the world pressed pause, he turned inward and started creating a new musical world for
Sourced and you’re invited.
2023 sees him release a four track EP, half of which was written in 2019 on a world tour with Blanco White, yearning for the comfort of home and half written at home in London, in deepest darkest lockdown, trying to find happiness in the ordinary but yearning to travel again.
Sourced was initially born in 2018 with the release of debut EP “Let’s Go Away For A While,” supported by BBC Introducing and leading to numerous support slots and festival appearances. Later, in 2019 Fred was
invited to Abbey Road Studios to perform two new tracks which were later released on indie label Us Is The
Surrounding himself with his favourite musicians, who also happen to be his best friends, Sourced is becoming a community for everyone, so come in and join us.
